Lend a Hand

Interested in helping your pALS? Consider lending a hand in ways that compensate for their decreasing strength, mobility, and then dexterity. You can help by offering to do chores that loss of mobility and strength make difficult. Vacuuming and laundry can be major challenges. Driving eventually becomes impossible for pALS, so offering to run errands can be a significant help as well. If your pALS doesn’t feel comfortable giving you money for errands and prefers to have things delivered, unloading items like groceries is still helpful!
