My speech at the National ALS Conference on outreach is tomorrow ( Wednesday ) at 9:30 AM EST! Due to travel complications, I am not able to attend, so my mom will be giving the speech for me! You can watch the event live at this link: http://www.alsregistrymtg.com

    Hi Rachel

I really enjoy reading all your blog posts and especially the action alert for the “Save the National ALS Registry Campaign”

I was one of several staff who attended the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National ALS Registry meeting on behalf of the ALS Association. Wow! Your parents did an outstanding job of delivering your message. They shared your life story and very thoughtful ideas that will definitely make a difference. (I can tell from your blog that your husband is also your rock.)

What a wonderful teacher you are to all of us! Thanks to you, and to all the people living with ALS, who support the National ALS Registry. You are creating a “living legacy” by helping the CDC Registry to enroll people living with ALS so they can learn about clinical trials and so that researchers can move their research forward much more quickly – as well as share their findings. The ALS Association is a strong and pro-active supporter of the CDC’s Registry for those very reasons.

Every person who enrolls in the National ALS Registry and fills out the surveys – helps researchers to find treatments and a cure for ALS.

Thanks to you, your husband, your parents and all for helping to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and for serving, advocating and empowering people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

    Best Wishes and Hugs
    Kathleen
